Therapeutic Guidelines

The Turbineers bring Therapeutic Guidelines’ vision to life with a dynamic, secure, mobile-friendly and responsive website.

Therapeutic Guidelines is Australia’s leading digital healthcare publisher. For over 45 years the Australian healthcare community has relied on Therapeutic Guidelines to provide an independent, evidence-based clinical resource.

Therapeutic Guidelines evolved out of activities in 1978 when a group of individuals came together to develop the first Antibiotic guidelines in response to the worrying and emerging problem of antibiotic resistance. Since then, this single guide has evolved into a comprehensive clinical resource that delivers 21 guidelines.

These guidelines distil the latest peer-reviewed evidence into concise, step-by-step recommendations, and can be continuously updated to reflect the latest evidence.

Few organisations can attest to being so beloved and extensively utilised by healthcare practitioners in Australia, because it’s through these guidelines that busy clinicians can prescribe medical treatments with confidence at the point-of-care.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Therapeutic Guidelines is funded only by subscribers and maintains independence with a strict conflict of interest policy.

Working alongside Therapeutic Guidelines, we developed a flexible modern website.

Bella Pisasale, alongside others, led the Therapeutic Guidelines website redevelopment project and was responsible for planning, collaboration, and coordination.

The website is the first major touch point for our customers and partners, explains Bella.

“The objective was to develop a modern, user-friendly and responsive website to clearly communicate our mission, products and services.”

This information was delivered to Tej and the team at the outset of the project, enabling the Turbineers to focus on the challenge of developing the website for Therapeutic Guidelines.

Bella explains: “When we first engaged with Tej and his team, we’d just completed our brand refresh. So, we were able to share our vision, and technical requirements for the project as well as a series of website design templates.

“After Tej led us through a short audit of our requirements to ensure all our objectives were met, he and his team were able to go straight into development.”

Developing the website to captivate and engage users.

Turbineers specialise in creating, reviewing, and refining digital experiences that captivate and engage end users.

The new Therapeutic Guidelines website needed to represent the values and mission of the organisation and make it easy for potential customers and partners to explore key products, governance and policy, and stay informed with the latest news and updates.

Finding information about the brand and products was essential, so a seamless and accessible experience for healthcare professionals, students, and stakeholders was required so visitors could easily navigate and quickly discover content across any device.

Microsoft Power Pages – part of Microsoft’s low-code Power Platform – was selected for its ability to deliver secure, enterprise-grade websites that are both user-friendly and easy to maintain.

By using this platform, along with a secure backend, the organisation can manage and publish news, update content and media assets, and capture leads efficiently and independently.

Recent developments have transformed Microsoft Power Pages.

This kind of usability wasn’t possible only a couple of years ago, but recently Microsoft Power Pages has undergone significant development.

From its origins as a backend-focused B2B portal tool with limited design flexibility, Microsoft Power Pages is now a secure, enterprise-grade, low-code software as a service (SaaS) platform that’s ideal for creating, hosting, and administering dynamic external-facing business websites.

For both low-code website creators and specialised website developers, Power Pages offers a pathway to the rapid design, configuration, and publishing of feature-rich websites that work across everyone’s’ favourite web browsers and devices.

Let’s take a closer look at the Technology.

Tejwansh Singh is the Founder and Technical Director at Turbineers. He’s been working with Microsoft technology through the evolution of its Power Platform. He explains the importance of these recent developments: “Enhancements such as Bootstrap 5 support, Fluent UI components, AI-assisted content creation, and improved governance tools reflect Microsoft’s broader shift toward unified, scalable, and user-centric cloud services.”

“This is enabling my team to build smarter, faster, and more secure digital experiences without relying on disconnected systems,” he says.

The tech in focus
The 2024 and 2025 release waves introduced a Design Studio with drag-and-drop sections, theme presets, and real-time accessibility and security meters, shrinking the gap between mock-up and production.

Sites now generate on Bootstrap 5, delivering lighter markup, utility-first classes, and superior mobile responsiveness.

Fluent UI 9 components and the Power CAT Creator Kit add polished, Microsoft 365-native controls, while scenario-based starter templates accelerate branded sites without rigid layouts.

Combined with copilot-assisted text generation and Dataverse integration, makers craft richer, faster, more consistent experiences that effortlessly meet modern expectations yet remain low-code.

Previously, organisations like Therapeutic Guidelines had to rely on separate platforms, such as WordPress, Adobe or Squarespace at the front end, with Power Pages plugging in at the back end to deliver authenticated login areas via portals.

This often resulted in disjointed user experiences with added layers of complexity to the UX and the build. Now, Power Platform can deliver a fully branded, responsive, and accessible website.

“With very simple drag-and-drop design, built-in security, and seamless integration with Dataverse and Dynamics 365, we’re now able to deliver visually impactful websites that deliver content with clarity, consistency, and reliability,” says Tej.

“This is the key to ensuring Therapeutic Guidelines can provide its visitors with fast, accurate, and accessible information about its product range exactly when and where they need it.”

It’s a transformative outcome for Therapeutic Guidelines

Therapeutic Guidelines now has a modern website, developed to authentically present its refreshed brand to healthcare professionals with ease and simplicity.

“The outcome has really transformed the way we engage with our customers and partners,” says Bella.

“It has also improved how we communicate the culture of the organisation, as well as our mission and purpose as an independent digital publisher.

“Because we’ve integrated Mailchimp to better capture and manage email subscriptions, we’ve improved audience engagement. And by connecting the forms into Microsoft Dynamics 365, we’re able to streamline lead capture and ensure incoming enquiries feed directly into our CRM.”

Therapeutic Guidelines now has a website that presents the organisation through a modern, secure, and accessible platform that reflects its purpose.

Powered by Microsoft’s low-code technologies and brought to life by the Turbineers, it enables TG to better serve healthcare professionals while supporting growth, independence, and the evolving needs of its users.
